Rest in Wonder

The Rest in Wonder retreat is held at Cave Romana Pula, a one-of-a-kind setting within a 2,000-year-old Roman quarry, just 10 minutes from Pula’s amphitheatre. Surrounded by olive groves and stone walls, the property offers accommodation for up to 12 guests across two apartments and a private annexe, with air-conditioned king-size rooms, shaded outdoor areas, and a private solar heated stone pool.

Each day includes yoga practices by the pool, guided meditation, sound baths, and nourishing shared meals featuring seasonal Istrian food and local wines.

Evenings unfold slowly — sometimes in stillness, sometimes through simple creative rituals such as wine & clay, inviting expression without pressure. Guests can also enjoy optional experiences such as visits to the Brijuni Islands, cycling through vineyard landscapes, or simply taking time to rest and recharge.

This retreat is ideal for anyone seeking a well-balanced blend of yoga, nature, good food, and quiet time in a truly unique Istrian location.

• Brijuni Archipelago Excursions: UNESCO-listed island park with safari routes past dinosaur footprints, Byzantine ruins, and Tito’s exotic wildlife sanctuary.
• Living History: Cycle Istria’s kažun trails past stone farmsteads, join olive harvests, and sip rakija with local bura wind storytellers in hidden konobas.

Cultural Immersion

• Intentional Flow: Pre-dawn bura wind walks through quarry gardens, followed by heated stone pool dips before sunrise vinyasa. Midday siestas in olive-shaded hammocks or guided journaling in Roman-era libraries.
• Sacred Transitions: Afternoon foraging excursions for wild asparagus, sunset rakija ceremonies on terraces facing Veruda Bay, and moonlit sound baths in the annexe courtyard.
